Three weeks at an Edmonton school: a whole-school launch, junior high language arts workshops, time with the elementary grades, and a showcase.

Program structure
- Whole-school launch: assembly and livestream programming for the school community.
- Junior high workshops: Grade 7–9 language arts classes had repeated sessions, up to five lessons each.
- Elementary connection: elementary classes joined sessions in the library while I wrote a poem for the school.
- Final showcases: the last week included elementary and Division 3 showcase planning, with schedule adjustments for school interruptions.
How it ran
It had the same shape as my later residencies: a whole-school assembly to start, repeated classroom sessions, time with the elementary grades, and a showcase at the end.
We worked around holidays, PD days, fire drills, staff meetings, online learners and showcase timing. That’s a real school calendar, and the residency held up.
